Neat idea!  only comment here would be that I had quite a lot of deaths that were due to not being able to see the enemy at all.  Seems some sort of warning would be cool to know that you are at least near something bad.  Maybe a radar of some sort?  something that pings faster/slower as an enemy is near?

I'm also considering including a ring with an arrow around the character that will appear pointing to the enemy when it's close enough, turning from yellow to red depending on how close it is. As said, I will seriously consider your idea! Thank you!
